West Tier development has been a successful business since 1983 both developing land and building homes. The company is owned and operated by Jeanne Koruga and Peter Tiersma.

Since that time West Tier has grown into building speculative homes, custom homes and multifamily units. We feel this degree of diversity has allowed us to develop and grow into the highest quality builder and developer. With direct involvement through each phase of every project, we are dedicated to creating not only an exceptional home, but ot building a lasting relationship with homeowners and real estate agents.

PETER
Peter is of Dutch descent and was raised in Lynden, Washington. He has strong ties to the Friesian community in Holland and is active in the Dutch community. Peter began developing investment property and soon turned it into a lifelong career. His passion for saving trees and preserving the integrity of the original landowners' ideas became Peter's pinnacle of success.

JEANNE
Jeanne's passion is building. Attention to detail and giving 100% on every project to both the homeowner and the real estate agent is a constant for Jeanne. Her integrity is an integral part of every project from the initial planning phases to completion.

Jeanne was born and raised in Seattle. She graduated from Seattle University with a degree in accounting. She worked as a CPA in public accounting for five years. She then turned her focus on West Tier and developed the building division. She has been managing both the building and accounting functions of the business from that point forward.

Living on a managed tree farm that grows FSC lumber has become a passion of Jeanne’s. As Chairman of Forest Advisory, she has embraced the idea of carbon exchange and is currently working toward selling carbon credits.
